What does “TNoTToys” mean?

TNoT = “This Is Not (About) ArT Toys.” (pronounced “tee-not toys”)

TNoTToys was born from the Questions that have followed our community for years: Is it a Toy or Art? Who makes these? Who buys them? Where do you even put them? Do adults really collect “Toys”? Are you painting them, customizing them—why, and what for? After countless conversations (and a few pointless debates), we chose a different path.

Rather than policing definitions, we embraced the paradox. “This Is Not (About) ArT Toys” isn’t denial; it’s an invitation. It says: stop arguing the label and start exploring the experience. Some pieces feel like Toys. Others feel like Art. Many are both—or neither—depending on the eyes that see them. We’re fine with that. In fact, that’s the point.

From labels to lived experience

TNoTToys shifts the focus from what it is to what it does:

· how ArT Toy POSTERS can ignite desire: whether announcing a new release or an exhibition where ArT Toys take the lead;

· how BOOK S about ArT Toys can turn scattered scenes into living archives; and

· how Fine Art PRINTS connected to ArT Toys can crystallize into Memory and fold collectors, gallerists, and promoters into the work’s own Dtory;

· how certain ArT Toy SHOWS can convert spectators into participants.

In short: we move from labels to lived experience.
