We didn’t lose our inner child. We turned it into ArT Toys and More...with purpose.
Why We’re Writing a BOOK Series About ArT Toy Exhibitions
Why the ArT Toy Movement Needed a BOOK Series About ArT Toy Exhibitions... And Why It’s Not Really About Exhibitions at All #00025 — TNoTToys Publications

Where Posters Became Culture
🔥 The Beginning Was Never the Drop.
It Was the Exhibition Poster.
Before the ArT Toy releases.
Before the booths at ToyCons.
Before hashtags tried to summarize what only walls could hold…
There was a POSTER for an Exhibition.
Not product ads. Not figure teasers.
But visual invitations that turned a date and a place into ritual.
A screenprint. A flyer. A .JPG that whispered:
"Come witness the Movement forming. Something is happening.”
This Is Not a Book Series About ArT Toy Exhibitions & ToyCons.
Yes, it starts with them.
But really, this Book Series is about Memory, Disappearance, Obsession… and Posters.
Posters that once screamed into the void, and now barely whisper online.
Exhibitions that brought communities together…then vanished without a trace.
A Movement too wild to be archived properly. Too vital to be forgotten.
That’s why this had to exist.
🧩 94% of ArT Toy Exhibitions Leave No Trace
That’s not a metaphor. That’s a crisis.
No records. No Posters. No archive. Just digital dust.
Part of this project was born from our own obsession with Posters.
Not just ArT Toy ones, but music Posters.
We used to steal them from the streets of Bilbao 25 years ago.
Not to resell. But to remember.
To hold the feeling.
Now, with ArT Toys, we realize something important:
The Movement doesn’t live in algorithms.
Even when most Posters are never printed.
Even when they exist only as images shared on social networks,
or briefly hosted on specialized blogs before disappearing.
It lives in what’s designed, announced, and visually declared,
whether on paper or on screen.
In Posters that sometimes only exist digitally,
and in the few physical copies that still appear
inside exhibition spaces or in very specific corners of cities,
each time more limited, more fragile, more rare.
Because printed or not,
these Posters still mark a moment.
They still announce presence.
They still carry intention.
Memory doesn’t belong to the feed.
It belongs to what was meant to be seen, even if only once.
So we asked ourselves:
What If the real beginning of the Movement… wasn’t the ArT Toy?
What If it was the Exhibition Poster?
🗺️ This ArT Toy Exhibition Book Series Isn’t Meant to Be a Catalog. It’s an Atlas.
Because the ArT Toy Movement didn’t happen in one place.
It happened in Hong Kong, Paris, Tokyo, LA, San Francisco, New York, Bogotá, Barcelona, Bangkok, Seoul…
In galleries, garages, basements, museums, Discords, cons, and cafes.
This Book Series is how we start connecting those dots.
And because one book could never hold it all.
Because the ArT Toy Movement wasn’t built on scale, but on intensity.
And because every ArT Toy Exhibition matters,
whether it happened in a museum or a basement,
a gallery or a garage,
a storefront, a noisy ToyCon booth, a pop up, a forgotten hallway or a tiny room with seven people and one wall.
This Series will be built to honor them all.
Not with rankings or hierarchies,
but through a visual memory system where every exhibition has a place.
By treating each Poster not as promotion,
but as a marker of identity,
a visual portal into the Movement’s evolution.
Because what unites them isn’t the size of the space.
It’s the intention behind the invitation.
And because this Movement was always made of many voices,
and this Series will be built to let them speak.
💣 Why Now?
Because if we had tried to write this in 2014, when we were just starting as an artistic and professional collective linked to ArT Toys and more…
we wouldn’t have known where to begin.
But now?
We’ve watched too many exhibitions fade.
We’ve seen too many posters deleted.
We’ve watched the scroll erase what the wall made sacred.
And no one was keeping track.
Not globally. Not seriously.
So we took that personally.
📚 What This Book Series Will (and Won’t) Do
This Book Series won’t explain everything.
It’s not definitive. It’s not encyclopedic.
Because this isn’t about collecting data.
It’s about collecting pulse.
Each entry starts not from the event… but from the Poster.
The image. The visual voice. The coded invitation.
Just like we’ve been doing in the ongoing posts of this same Art Toy Gama Blog,
where we dive into specific exhibitions, not to list them,
but to read what the Poster reveals:
its identity, its memory, its silent shout.
We’ll give You:
· 1,000+ iconic Posters from all over the world
· Cultural context, curatorial notes, keywords
· A tribute to every artist, collector, gallery, shop, brand and curator who made them happen
· Open doors to deeper essays, reflections, and maps…online and in future Volumes
It’s not a final word.
It’s a visual rebellion in progress.
🧠 Who This Is For
For the collector who still thinks about that one show they missed.
For the artist who saw their name appear
on a flyer,
in a blog post,
in the window of a store they respected,
and felt, for a second, like part of something bigger.
For the curator who made sense out of chaos.
For the shop who built community with nothing but courage and tape.
For the brand that never settled for “just a drop.”
It’s also for the curious, the new, the nostalgic, the future.
For anyone who’s ever felt the signal and thought:
"Wait…this is more than Toys."
👁️ Because Memory Has a Shape. And It Looks Like a Poster.
This Book Series is being built to hold Memory in Your hands,
not just in Your cloud.
You can stream a show on Netflix.
But this? This you can shelve.
You can like an image on Instagram.
But this? This becomes your archive.
Because every Poster is proof.
That someone showed up.
That something happened.
That the Movement didn’t just survive. It mattered.
And this Book Series is here to make sure it still does.
🎯 Why This Book Series Had to Exist
Because if we didn’t do it… who would?
Because stories this visual shouldn’t disappear.
Because legacy deserves print, not pixels.
And because the future of ArtT Toy Memory needs Volume 1 to begin...

We’re currently building an Upcoming Publication that explores and celebrates
the most iconic and influential Art Toy exhibitions around the world.
Each article in this series helps document, reflect, and invite the community
to take part in constructing this cultural archive — one exhibition at a time.
We’ve seen countless exhibitions since then: small and large, modest and monumental.
And we love them all.
No matter where they take place or the resources behind them,
every ArT Toy show adds something to the Movement.
Some will make history, others will make Memory. All of them matter.
This is not just documentation.
This is Dis(Play) in the making.
And You’re part of it.
